Safeguard Your Lawn
Recent weather patterns are ideal for a rise in grub populations later this summer and fall. As a result, over the past few years, homeowners have experienced significant damage to their lawns due to an unusually large population of grubs, the larvae of the Japanese & European Chafer beetles.
Grubs, the larvae of the Japanese & European Chafer beetles are a particularly invasive species of grubs that feed on grass roots and often go undetected until the grub-infested area has suffered extensive and often permanent damage.
We are proud to celebrate 40 years of expert lawn care services uniquely-tailored to the needs of each community we serve.

Safeguard your lawn from grubs.
In recent years, numerous individuals have observed significant damage to their lawns, attributed to an unusually large population of Japanese beetle grubs.
The extent of the damage varies, with some lawns showing minimal impact while others have suffered considerably. Experts predict that infestation is expected to be equally severe, if not more so, this fall.

Understanding Grubs & Beetles
Grubs are sub-surface insects so once they infest a lawn they are difficult to control.
The most effective strategy is to prevent grubs from entering.
Japanese Beetles first appear in late summer, when they lay their eggs in your lawn. These newly hatched worms (grubs) work their way through the thatch and into the soil, where they begin to feed on the roots of your grass.
Grubs do their greatest damage during the fall months, while your lawn is also suffering significant damage from animals higher up in the food chain (skunks, crows, etc.) that dig in your lawn in search of grubs to eat.
As the weather cools, grubs burrow deeper into the soil for the winter and return to the surface to feed again as the soil warms in the spring. After this spring feeding, the grubs pupate into adult beetles and begin the cycle again.

What are Grubs?
Grubs first appear in late summer, when adult Japanese Beetles lay their eggs in your lawn. These newly hatched worms (grubs) work their way through the thatch and into the soil, where they begin to feed on the roots of your grass. Grubs do their greatest damage during the fall months. Lawns also suffer significant damage at this time of year from animals higher up in the food chain (skunks, crows, etc.) that dig in the lawn in search of grubs to eat.
As the weather cools, grubs burrow deeper into the soil for the winter and return to the surface to feed again as the soil warms in the spring. After this spring feeding, the grubs pupate into adult beetles and begin the cycle again.
Because they are a sub-surface insect, grubs are difficult to control once they infest a lawn. The best treatment is to prevent them from entering the lawn in the first place.
