Strengthen Your Lawn for the Cooler Months

As the crisp autumn air begins to settle in, it's the perfect time to consider core aeration for your lawn.

Core Aeration is an essential process that not only aids in the recovery of summer stresses but can also prepare your turf for the harsh winter months.

By loosening compacted soil and promoting root growth, core aeration ensures your lawn remains healthy and vibrant.

Core Aeration will significantly enhance the appearance and resilience of your grass.

We are proud to celebrate 40 years of expert lawn care services uniquely-tailored to the needs of each community we serve.

Core Aeration

Core Aeration loosens compacted soil, enhances root development, and reduces thatch, preparing your grass for healthy growth in the spring.
1

Core Aeration

Core aeration prepares your lawn for cooler months by perforating the soil, allowing air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots.

This process loosens compacted soil, enhances root growth, reduces thatch, and ensures your grass is ready for healthy growth in spring.

2

Core Aeration & Overseeding

Prepare your lawn for spring by using core aeration to loosen compacted soil, enhance root growth, and reduce thatch, allowing better access to air, water, and nutrients.

After aeration, the lawn will be overseeded with a state of the art disease resistant grass seed to help thicken an already existing turf.

Safeguard your lawn from grubs.

In recent years, numerous individuals have observed significant damage to their lawns, attributed to an unusually large population of Japanese beetle grubs.

The extent of the damage varies, with some lawns showing minimal impact while others have suffered considerably. Experts predict that infestation is expected to be equally severe, if not more so, this fall.

Add Overseeding to Core Aeration

Prepare Your Lawn for Spring!

Promote thicker, healthier grass for a vibrant yard next season.

After core aeration, our team of experts can overseed your lawn with advanced, disease-resistant seeds. This cost-effective method rejuvenates and thickens your turf but is not a replacement for renovating or slice-seeding damaged areas, so guarantees are limited.

Prepare your lawn with core aeration and overseeding.

How Does Core Aeration Help My Lawn?

Significantly Improve Your Lawn's Health & Appearance

Loosen compacted soil, stimulate root growth & reduce thatch.

Penetrates Thatch or Compacted Soil Layers - Aerifyers push through thatch or compacted layers into the soil zone. Fertilizer, air and moisture can then penetrate down to the roots.

Helps Control Thatch Buildup - Soil brought to the surface by aerifyers contains microorganisms which help begin the breakdown of thatch tissue.

Reduces Compaction - Aerifying penetrates hard soil layers and lets in air, water and fertilizer to encourage new root growth. It also provides room for the soil to expand into the holes, reducing the compaction.

Stimulates New Root Growth - Aerifying helps rejuvenate turf by allowing the roots to grow deeper, creating healthier plants and keeping the lawn thick and green.

What are Grubs?

Grubs first appear in late summer, when adult Japanese Beetles lay their eggs in your lawn. These newly hatched worms (grubs) work their way through the thatch and into the soil, where they begin to feed on the roots of your grass. Grubs do their greatest damage during the fall months. Lawns also suffer significant damage at this time of year from animals higher up in the food chain (skunks, crows, etc.) that dig in the lawn in search of grubs to eat.

As the weather cools, grubs burrow deeper into the soil for the winter and return to the surface to feed again as the soil warms in the spring. After this spring feeding, the grubs pupate into adult beetles and begin the cycle again.

Because they are a sub-surface insect, grubs are difficult to control once they infest a lawn. The best treatment is to prevent them from entering the lawn in the first place.
